How we work
When you decide to move or redesign your workspace, the first thing that usually comes to mind is a long list of questions which we help you to answer.
Open space or closed office?
What should we boost more - team cooperation or deep focus?
How to fit the teams in?
Who should be sitting where and next to whom?
How many meeting rooms?
Can we avoid both constant overbooking and empty rooms?
We remove the uncertainties of your relocation process
We put as much effort into understanding your company as we do into creating its new offices. Only then are we able to answer all the questions that come with every project.
Phone booths or play rooms?
How to tell what space type will boost each team’s productivity?
Do we want a smart space?
What technology is available and what can it actually help us with?
Will the new office still be “ours”?
How can we transfer our company culture into a different building?
Can people look forward to moving?
How and when do we start communicating the change?
What if I lose my favorite old chair?
How to identify and keep the things people liked in the old office?
We will answer those questions throughout first phases of the Origameo process. Our research-based solutions strike the right balance between everything: focused and collaborative spaces, privacy, kitchens and smart rooms, internal staircases and break out zones - everything you need to drive your business forward.
ANALYTICS
“the new space always starts in the old space”
To start with, we run complex analytics of the ‘as-is’ state. This helps us back up your knowledge of the company with hard evidence.
The analytical report tells your office’s story. It begins with a data-based understanding of your company’s current set up, insights into your future needs and the logic on which a future office can be built.
WORKPLACE
STRATEGY
“defining the roadmap to your future ideal state”
Based on the analysis of your company’s current and future potential, we develop a workplace strategy. It’s this document that anchors the design and execution of your new space.
The workplace strategy defines how the new space will support your company’s goals, and how these goals translate into spatial KPIs. Practically speaking, it’s a detailed road map to the new office.
EXECUTION
“the benefits of our integration within a leading developer”
Because we’re part of HB Reavis, you’ll have some the of the industry’s leading talent involved in the design process from the very beginning. Our workspace designers and fit-out managers attend and actively contribute to your workshops. They’ll also be integral to the design documents that define the eventual workspace strategy.
As fit-out is also an integrated part of the process, the managers will have been involved from the early stages. This means they understand exactly what materials are needed to fulfil the design and strategy. Plus, their inside-knowledge of the project helps them quickly make the right calls when it comes to any execution and cost questions.
Working with an integrated developer, you get access to unique space types and technologies – but also to exclusive prices. Our fit-out managers are a guarantee that you’ll get exactly what’s been promised, to the agreed timescales, costs and quality.
CHANGEMANAGEMENT
“because relocation means a lot of uncertainty”
From finding a new route to work to losing a favourite chair, there’s a lot to worry about when it comes to relocation. We face these worries daily, so we know how to help you handle any sensitive issues. We monitor your people’s attitudes and concerns, as well as cultural challenges to the transition. And we then create a tailored communication and change management strategy that not only brings everyone on board, but gets them excited about the move.
We can also carry out interventions that help to inspire colleagues, including:
Based on your needs, we can either act as a consultant, or actually deliver the communications across your business.
AFTER
RELOCATION
(ongoing service)
“making sure we did a good job... and making it even better”
Once you’re in, as part of our service, we deliver a post-occupancy study that measures the new office’s success against the set KPIs and your colleagues’ overall satisfaction.
We can also provide an analysis of new behaviour patterns that emerge in the new space and create a proposal for next steps to further boost your workspace strategy and maximise your investment.
Looking further forward, we can also manage an ongoing service which measures the efficiency of your office. These measures range from regular satisfaction surveys, to constant data evaluation using smart building solutions. These more innovate evaluations could include:
These far-reaching initiatives deliver long-term benefits. But all our services play a role in delivering a workspace that meets modern needs.
They also help to create a continuously remarkable experience that inspires employees, teams and your wider business as much as the original office design. It’s also what sets Origameo apart from the competition.
